If you’ve never heard of an MLM before, you may have been living under a rock like I was! Or may be you have heard of it, but don’t fully understand how it works. Or may be you’ve heard of the negative stereotypes that surround them. For myself, I had kind of heard of them but never realized the actual potential these companies give to build a thriving business.
Plain and simple, MLM stands for multi level marketing. It is a business model used by many direct sales companies. In my opinion, I think it is a brilliant business model. Essentially the multi level part of this model is that you will sign up under someone else who is established, that will lead you on how to run a successful network marketing business. As you grow and learn how to lead others to success with their business, you basically receive ‘promotions’. Just like any other job the more skilled and experienced you become, the more responsibilities you gain, and the more you earn. You create income based on sales and receive ‘promotions’ based on how many other business builders you can successfully lead.
The power of an MLM is that they rely on consumers to share their experiences with the products. I think this fact alone is awesome! Would you trust a random sales person’s advice at a store over your sister, best friend or co-worker? Especially when your sister, best friend or co-worker’s life in someway has been impacted by these products enough for them to share their experience with you? You trust them when they tell you about their favorite products all the time!
Despite the negative talk surrounding MLMs, they have serious power to change people’s lives. I’ve seen people who stick with them in 3 or 5 years earn between 6 & 7 figure incomes. That is AH-MAZING! It’s hard work, of course, takes time, of course. But these businesses have several advantages over starting up a traditional business.
